Montagu Dried Fruits( MDF) is an established business, operatingfor over 20 years in the town of Montagu in the Western Cape. This enterprise focuses on a few dedicated local customers as well as major export markets.
During 2000 the need to create a value-added product was identified, and Montagu Dried Fruits and Nuts (MDF&N) was established. This operation today has a significant share of the entire fruit and nut market. All operations are quality approved and meet the stringent requirements of HACCAP.
Montagu Trading Company (MTC) was established in the early part of 2011 as a Management Company to drive and spearhead the further development of the Montagu brand. This was done after Montagu Dried Fruits and Nuts ( Pty) Ltd established ten independent operations over the past two years and used these outlets as an experiment and prelude to the establishment of a National franchise operation. The successes that were achieved through these operations led to the formation of a business plan for the establishment of a National network.
