| Electro Brake Supplies Electric Braking Systems for Commercial Trailers, Horseboxes, Caravans and Off Road Trailers with a Gross Vehicle Mass not exceeding 3500kg. We supply 3 different weight axles nl. 1500kg, 1800kg and 2400kg in Leaf Spring or Rubberide configurations. Our systems have been tested and passed by the South African Bureau of Standards. In addition to the axles, we also supply the Brake Controllers, Break-Away Kits and Wire Couplers associated with the Braking System. Electro Brake is the sole Agents for Dexter Axle in the U.S.A. for the Republic of South Africa. | |||||||||
| Background of Business | |||||||||
Electro Brake was started during the latter part of 2004 and after the SABS approval was obtained, a sole proprietorship was formed during 2005. The Company has now been trading for 3 years. We supply mainly to the registered Trailer Manufacturers (approximately 400 within the boundaries of the R.S.A) but, in addition, directly to Transport Companies, Individuals and the Farming Community. We have also exported Axles to Namibia, Swaziland, Angola and Malawi. In terms of pricing, our System is competitively priced, considering the safety aspects and ease of operation. All axles are tailor made for each Customer, thus there is the added advantage that Agents are not required to carry any Stock of Axles, therefore very little Capital is required for this purpose. As a result, Agents can run the business from home, obviating the necessity to rent costly Commercial Premises. In addition, no Royalty Fees are charged. |
